On 25 August 2010, the Hans Hoheisen Wildlife Research Station (HHWRS), was officially opened by the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria (UP), the Peace Parks Foundation (PPF) and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA).
