Internationalization and Global engagements

The University of Pretoria is proud to be associated with a number of research partnerships, academic development programmes and memoranda of understanding with many international universities and institutions, corporate sponsorships, and social and community engagement and enhancement projects.

As a top global university, we have a number of agreements with universities and institutions around the world which form a broad framework for a range of activities like staff and student exchange, research collaboration, expanding on teaching and learning expertise and increasing cultural understanding and cooperation. We currently have more than 100 active institutional agreements and over 90 at faculty level. Over the last two decades, we have partnered with over 330 institutions around the world.

Our commitment to increasing knowledge production and access to education and research capacity is evident in our research chair holders, each of whom is a leader in his or her field of expertise. This provides the broader society with new ways to think, understand, do, be and improve. We also have a number of other stakeholders who are dependent on our expertise, innovation, research excellence and commitment to finding solutions.

The University of Pretoria has hundreds of existing collaborations and partnerships, and is open to further alliances between institutions.
