The Uruguayan features art works on exhibited at the Villa Museum were executed by Gabriela Acevedo, born in 1960 in Montevideo, Uruguay. Joined Edgardo Ribeiro's Studio, and painted with him in Mallorca, Spain in 1971. She also furthered her art career and studies with E. Ribeiro Nario, and later studied History of Art at L’Ecole du Louvre, Paris, France. She subsequently completed her education at the Instituto de Profesores Artigas (Teacher Training Institution), Montevideo, Uruguay, and attended watercolour courses with Dante Picarelli, and pigment courses with Professor Miguel Battegazzore, which were retrospectively held at Octavio Podesta's Sculpture workshop. She currently teaches at Colegio Ingles and has been in charge of the Ribeiro Studio since 1996.
