Over 7 000 students have accessed comprehensive support services as UP begins its 2025 enrolment process.

The University of Pretoria (UP) has launched its 2025 academic year registration period on Hillcrest campus, with more than 7 000 prospective students having already accessed registration services since its commencement.

The registration initiative, which accommodates both first-year and senior students up to honours level, provides comprehensive assistance for admission and registration processes through various support channels.

According to Raphuti Mathekgane, Deputy Director of Student Services, registration operations have been smooth.

“The University has implemented a robust support system to ensure a seamless registration experience,” Mathekgane says. “Our on-site assistance model has proven highly effective in addressing student needs promptly and efficiently.”

UP has deployed faculty advisors across the campus to provide specialised academic guidance, while the Student Representative Council (SRC) maintains a dedicated help desk to address student concerns. These services form part of UP’s integrated approach to student support during the registration period.

“Finally being here at UP is like a dream come true,” first-year student Francis Smith says. “The registration process was made so much easier with all the help available. I can’t wait to start this new chapter of my life at such a prestigious institution.”

The University administration highlights that in-person assistance remains the optimal method for resolving registration-related queries. All students, from undergraduate to honours level, are encouraged to utilise the available support services on Hillcrest campus.

Student advisors are also available to provide guidance on various aspects of the registration process, including technical support and course selection assistance.
