    The University of Pretoria (Tuks) went to the top of the standings at the start of the final day of the Johannesburg leg of this year’s Varsity Hockey tournament on Monday, 9 May 2016, when they beat Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (Madibaz) 3–1.

    The University of Cape Town were agonisingly close to causing a semi-final upset against a dominant Tuks, who trailed in the opening exchanges before Margrit Springer and Thumo Neluvhalani pulled it back to 7–7 after four minutes.

  • TuksJudo: Dale Whitaker wins gold at Commonwealth Championships

    It took approximately four years for Dale Whitaker to become a champion. This past weekend, the Tuks/hpc judoka won the gold medal in the under-80 kg category at the Commonwealth Championships, which took place in Port Elizabeth. Four years ago he won the junior title at the same championships.

    Eighteen-year-old Clarence Munyai (TuksSport High School) became one of the youngest male sprinters to win a title at the South African Senior Championships when he won the 200 m sprint in a time of 20,74 s at the South African Senior Championships in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 16 April 2016.

  • TuksRowing: SA rowers impress at World Cup in Italy

    South Africa's top rowers certainly made their presence felt today in the finals of the World Cup Rowing Regatta in Varese, Italy, by winning two gold and two bronze medals.
