The Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP) Education Leadership and Management course attracted an international delegation of 16 school principals from various schools in Nigeria. The esteemed course is a mentorship programme that focuses on the empowerment of school principals and educators and provides instruction in various aspects of leadership and management aimed at ensuring a quality education for all learners.

The two-day course commenced on Monday, 14 August 2017. The general atmosphere on the morning of registration was very cheerful as delegates were excited about the training programme and enjoyed the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the University of Pretoria's Groenkloof Campus. The syllabus is unique in that all teaching content can be successfully applied internationally. Among other things, the course focuses on the development of professional leaders who support transformation and are able to engage critically and be self-reflective practitioners.

The delegation's training by Enterprises UP was funded by Sufficient Skills and Career Consult Ltd, Nigeria, a company that cooperates closely with Nigerian schools to provide essential training and career development in the country's education management industry. The partnership with Enterprises UP created the ideal opportunity to provide world-class training to educators who face challenges within their industry. The course was tailored to address the challenges experienced by the group and equipped them with new skill sets to practise in their respective institutions.
