Itumeleng Matlou and Charné van Biljon, under the guidance of Law Clinic attorney Lourens Grové and academic Sylvia Papadopoulos participated against predominantly US opposition in this Competition based on US law.

The TuksLaw team emerged as the winners of the Ambassador’s Round against the team from Gujarat National Law University in India. The winners of the Ambassador's Round are determined on the basis of the oral presentation of the teams.

The focus of this year’s moot court competition was on the topical issue of Privacy Law relating to online satellite imaging software. The University of Pretoria’s team faced the uphill battle of preparing arguments on a foreign legal system, and yet outperformed many US teams, on US law, on US soil.
