Clinching this long awaited win will most certainly be a huge morale booster for AmaTuks.
“It’s the one opponent we’ve been battling to overcome. Beating them means that we are moving forward with a more positive and determined attitude,” said Head Coach Steve, Barker.
He added: “We need to build on this positive attitude and achieve our priority goals.”
The game went for a breather with Tuks leading their hosts 1 – 0. A foul in front of the poles gave Bafana Sibeko the change to score the only goal of the macth.
“After the goal we knew that we had to double our efforts to maintain the lead. It was tough but we managed to withstand their onslaught,” said the captain, Joseph Mthombeni.
He confirmed that nothing comes easy and AmaTuks will need to work twice as hard to become unstoppable.
“Hard work and determination could make us unstoppable and reach our goals without too much of a hustle,” confirmed Mthombeni.
• AmaTuks will be playing Dynamos on 3 December at the Tuks ABSA Stadium.
