| Module content | The aim of the course is to provide a sound understanding of valid strategic reasons for considering a merger or acquisition transaction. The focus will further be on insights into the factors that influence success and failure in M&A; an overview of the various forms that M&A can take – outright acquisition or partnering; create an appreciation of the implications of globalisation, and in particular investment in emerging markets and give students an understanding of the M&A process, including the regulatory framework within which deals are concluded. |
