Module content | Information technology is an important enabler of effective supply chain management, typically spanning the extended value chain from suppliers to customers. The timeliness and availability of relevant information are critical when applying supply chain strategies that increase service levels of and reduce cost and lead times. Value-added IT-based services are increasingly used to differentiate and develop relationships with customers. The objective of the course is to develop a sound understanding of components and priorities IT investment to enable supply chain integration and efficiency, the impact of business process change on IT implementation and selection of decision support systems. |
