Notice of Water Supply Disruption

The City of Tshwane has notified the University of Pretoria about planned maintenance by Rand Water, which is their bulk water supply. Rand Water is planning to conduct maintenance of the infrastructure at its Mapleton and Palmer booster pump stations from 29 May 2025 to 03 June 2025. The activity will affect the City of Tshwane reservoirs that are fed by the Mapleton and Palmer booster pump stations, as they will experience low pressure to no water supply.
We urge everyone to conserve water during this period to mitigate the impact of the reduced supply. Additionally, the University of Pretoria will provide updates and alternative arrangements for the water needs as necessary.
During the outage, we advise you to use water sparingly and ensure that all taps are closed. By doing this, you can lessen the potential damage that open taps could cause when the water returns.
