Power Interruption Notice

Buildings affected: House Tau and Tuks Ekhaya

Time: 07:00 to 00:00 (17 Hours)
Please note that the Department of Facilities Management plans to upgrade the electrical switchgear panels at the House Tau substation due to age and redundancy. In order to accomplish this, the power supply will be disrupted to safely disconnect and remove the old switchgear so that new equipment may be installed. The affected buildings (House Tau and Tuks Ekhaya) will be without power as stipulated above. The IT server will be powered by the backup generators.
Kindly treat all electrical connections as live and be warned that electrical circuits or parts thereof are energised and potentially dangerous. This is for the safety to all affected.
