The University of Pretoria is currently busy with the Energy Performance Certification process as gazetted in 2020 by the government in the Government Gazette 43972 (Regulations). The project requires that all buildings of more than 1 000 m2 be metered and electrical consumption be measured monthly.
Buildings subject to the Regulations will be interrupted as per the approved project plan during July and August. The project manager together with the maintenance team shall communicate with the affected buildings when required. During that time, buildings will be on a total outage for the duration of the meter installation.
