Please be advised that the Presidential Inauguration will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, 19 June 2024, at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

The event will be attended by several dignitaries, including foreign heads of state and special guests, necessitating stringent security measures. As delegates and heads of state will be arriving at various points of entry, certain road closures will be implemented.

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has released a list of upcoming street closures in the vicinity of the Union Buildings, Sunnyside and Hatfield (see below). These closures will be in effect from 03:00 on Wednesday, 19 June 2024, until 06:00 on Thursday, 20 June 2024.

We kindly request that you take note of the road closures, plan accordingly and use alternative routes during this period.
