Posted on April 18, 2024

Professor Charles Maimela, Deputy Dean: Faculty of Law and Coordinator for the relaunch of UP’s Curriculum Transformation (CT) drive, together with the steering committee on CT, in collaboration with Professor Loretta Feris, the Vice-Principal: Academic, cordially invites you to the 2024 UP Curriculum Transformation Lecture Series.

The lecture series will serve as a platform for open discussions, sharing insights, and mapping the way forward towards a more responsive and dynamic curriculum that aligns with the demands of the education setting.

The first lecture takes place as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 08 May 2024

Time: 14:00 to 15:00

Platform: Online via Blackboard Collaborate

The event link is in the poster below together with the programme.

The 2024 lecture series will focus on evaluating the 2016 Curriculum Transformation Framework developed and adopted by the University. In light of the changes and developments in higher learning, evaluating and reassessing this framework is crucial to ensure its relevance. This engagement will provide an opportunity for the University community to reflect on its effectiveness and strategise for the future. This is also one of the main tasks from the 2023 Senate Conference. To kick-start the lecture series, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Theology and Religion will share their experiences and recommendations for the framework of CT.

Series enquiries must be directed to Disemelo Masehe: [email protected] or 012 420 8355.
