We wanted to provide you with the latest update regarding the recent situation at the Hatfield campus gates. Following the intervention of the police, the entrances (except for the University Road entrance) on the Hatfield campus are now open.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the gates earlier today due to protesting workers illegally blocking access. Please be aware that while the entrances are currently open, the situation remains uncertain, and there is a possibility that conditions could change again at short notice. The safety of our students and staff is our priority.

Students who were unable to attend their classes should contact the Dean’s office in their faculties by sending an email to the address listed on the UP website for assistance with missed lectures. This situation is regrettable, and we request our academics to assist students accordingly.
