As a reminder and following a meeting between the UP Student Representative Council (SRC) and UP management on 3 March 2023, the following was agreed:

• The registration period for undergraduate returning students is extended to 10 March 2023, with the exception of students in Health Sciences whose academic programme started in January. In Veterinary Sciences, late registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Dean, based on the programme and the year for which a student seeks enrolment and the student’s individual academic record to date.
• Students whose readmission depends on the outcome of an institutional appeal for readmission already have access to the campus and clickUP and are able to participate in the academic programme.
• All students who have made suitable financial arrangements with payments due in the week leading up to 10 March 2023 have been granted access to the campus and clickUP and are able to participate in the academic programme.
• Students who do not fall into the above-mentioned categories and who seek late registration, must approach the Student Administration in their Faculty in this regard, after which they will be given access to the campus and clickUP to participate in the academic programme until such time as they are registered or when registration closes on 10 March 2023.

The closing date for changes to module enrolments and cancellations remains 20 March 2023.

While the University’s formal registration process was scheduled to close on Friday, 3 March 2023, we do make provision for some late registrations and appeal to students who will be registering late to do everything possible not to fall behind with their academic work. Please make use of the available support services in your faculties.
