Redundant Assets sale dates for 2023

Redundant assets will be available for purchase from the Redundant Asset Store located at the Hillcrest Campus, on the last Friday of every month. Provisional dates of asset sales are listed below. Please note that these dates are subject to change, please refer to the Department of Finance portal for announcements on any changes.

Items will only be available for sale to UP staff and students, access cards will be required for entrance to the premises. Items identified for direct sale will be priced in advance and available to purchase via a card machine (available on site). Sales will be limited to five (5) items per person. All items must be removed immediately. The indicated price is not negotiable.

Certain items will still be sold via the tender process. As has been done in the past, tenders must be submitted online. The link to the Google form will be made available on the day of the sale.  Only tenders submitted on the day of the sale, before 15:00 will be considered. The highest bidder will be informed after the closing of the tender. Payment must be made within three (3) working days. Items must be removed within three (3) working days after payment.

All items are sold “voetstoots”. Items not removed within the stipulated times will be forfeited. No cash payments will be accepted.
