UP Staff, students and friends of the University of Pretoria Symphony Orchestras are hereby invited to join us for a week of music making. If you play an orchestral instrument, this is a great opportunity to make obligation free music with our symphony orchestra. We have planned three rehearsals and a concert in the university’s Aula auditorium that includes Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and music from Game of Thrones, and we want to include you.

Rehearsal and concert dates:

Rehearsal 1         Saturday, 20 August 09:00 – 13:00 Aula auditorium

Rehearsal 2         Monday, 22 August 16:30 – 19:30 Aula auditorium

Rehearsal 3         Wednesday, 24 August  16:30 – 19:30 Aula auditorium

Concert                Friday, 26 August 15:30-16:00 Aula auditorium

We hope to welcome one and all for a week of music making and reacquainting after the silence caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

All proficient players are welcome and there will be no auditions for this opportunity. Please fill in the form as your registration and simply show up to the first rehearsal where all music and concert logistics will be provided.
