One of the coaching staff members of the Tuks 1 Varsity Cup rugby team, John-Laffnie de Jager, requested an opportunity for the Tuks 1 team to recognise and thank the staff of the Department of Facilities Management responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the fields at the Hillcrest Sports Campus. On Wednesday 30 March, the Tuks1 team members were all present with their head coach, Nico Luus, to meet the staff. The captain of the Tuks 1 team, Lincoln Daniels, thanked the staff members for the dedication and hard work, which often takes place after hours. It has been said that the fields at the Hillcrest Sports Campus are the best in the City of Tshwane! The staff members each received a “Tuks of Niks” T-shirt and were subsequently serenaded by the players. It was a very special gesture and a wonderful occasion for the staff and much appreciated by all.
