Dear UP colleagues,
Members of Council, deans, chairpersons of schools, heads of department, emeriti and honorary professors, directors, lecturers, and other guests.
You are cordially invited to participate in the academic procession during the Autumn graduation ceremonies, which will be held in-person from 20 April to 20 May 2022 at the Hillcrest Campus.

Please note: Your attendance must be confirmed by 05 April 2022 in order for the necessary arrangements to be made regarding the composition of the academic procession.
As a result of COVID-19 regulations, only 46 academic staff members will be allowed per session on stage at a graduation ceremony. When the maximum number of 46 has been reached, the booking system will not permit any further bookings.
In the event that the COVID-19 risk adjustment level is increased and the regulations do not allow for big gatherings, the University will award the qualifications listed in the graduation programmes in absentia, and the ceremonies will be held virtually. In such instances the academic staff will be informed accordingly.
