Tax certificates (IRP5s) for the 2021 available

Tax certificates (IRP5s) for the 2021 tax year are available on the UP Self Service portal, under Remuneration and Benefits.

To ensure that your information is kept private and confidential, your tax certificate has been password-protected with your national ID number or your passport number if you do not have a national ID number.

When prompted to enter a password, enter your national ID number or your passport number.

If you require assistance with obtaining your 2021 tax certificate, please contact your human resources business partner or senior human resources officer.

Please note that the Department of Facilities Management has had to reintroduce rotational staffing due to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases. Since early 2021, the department has had 95% of its workforce return to work. However, due to the alarming increase in positive cases over the past two weeks among the staff and the need for self-isolation by other staff members who have been exposed, the department has had to return to rotational staffing, as was the practice at the end of 2020. 

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. If there are special circumstances that necessitates unique considerations, please send an email to [email protected] with the details of the particular situation. We will attend to such cases to the best of our ability.
