Dear University of Pretoria staff and students

As you know, the University of Pretoria (UP) is running a competition until 16 October 2020 to promote literacy across the campus. We want to encourage everyone to participate in the #UPLovesLiteracy campaign and contest!

To submit an entry, follow these three easy steps:

1. Upload a picture of your favourite book or of something that reminds you of it on Instagram. #Shelfies are welcome!
2. In the caption, please explain why you enjoy your selected book and how it has affected your literacy journey.
3. Tag @universityofpretoria in your post and include the hashtag #UPLovesLiteracy in the caption.

Winners will be announced on Instagram @universityofpretoria, so watch our updates and click here to read more about literacy. There are fantastic prizes to be won!

Literacy Day is a time to reflect on our own literacy, to assist others in discovering their own literacy, and to marvel at the genuinely multiliterate world we inhabit.
