Passing of Mr Hennie Coetzee

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the passing of Mr Hennie Coetzee, retired former Deputy Director in the Department of Facilities Management on 21 May 2020.

Hennie Coetzee’s involvement at the University of Pretoria as a full-time staff member commenced in 1998 in the Department of Construction Economics, then known as Quantity Surveying.

Hennie was involved as an academic until 2002 when was appointed in the Department of Facilities Management as Deputy Director until his retirement in 2015.

Hennie was a dedicated colleague in the Department of Facilities Management, well-known for his encyclopedic knowledge of the University’s property portfolio. He was held in great esteem by all who worked with him. Hennie leaves his wife, three sons and a daughter, and two grandchildren. Our sincerest condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
