Enterprises UP celebrates with EDM delegation in Mozambique

Posted on December 04, 2019

Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), Mozambique’s state-owned power company, recently held a certificate ceremony to honour delegates who successfully completed their Leadership Development Programme at Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP). The prestigious event took place at the Polana Serena Hotel in Mozambique.

The Leadership Development Programme was tailored to the specific needs of EDM and was presented to 116 delegates, including the board directors, directors and managers from various departments.

The programme, facilitated by Professor Ann de Boer, together with Johan Olwagen and Rona van Hoepen from the University of Pretoria (UP), was offered in Pretoria and Mozambique. The delegates were also treated to an exciting tour of the UP’s Hatfield campus, which was led by UP Campus Tours.

The interactive programme equipped delegates with great tools for the facilitation of change and their overall growth on a personal level.

“We have had some management training before but this programme is particularly important to us because it gave us a fresh perspective on managing our staff members and our company,” Moses Mabunda, who formed part of the delegation, described the programme.

“We profoundly believe that as leaders you will be able to exercise thinking-on-demand and capitalise not only on your thinking preference but also tapping into the thinking of others,” said Deon Herbst, CEO of Enterprises UP.

“We believe that if we can empower you as leaders, we empower many others in your company, the country and beyond,” he added.
