The Special Collections Book of the Week this week is:

Rugby in South Africa: a history 1861-1988, by Paul Dobson.

The first complete history of South African rugby since 1933, this book is an attempt to record the human story of rugby from its beginnings to 1988, most of it as it was played in South Africa. It seeks to record many of the great personalities, matches, and stories on the playing fields of South Africa and abroad. This is a book to be enjoyed with much to set the serious student scurrying in search for more.
