Thank you for participating in the recent opinion survey regarding the University of Pretoria (UP) logo. We value your contribution and appreciate your commitment to the University.

As a reminder, the objective of the survey was to canvass the views of the UP community, including students, staff and alumni on the University’s logo following a decision by the UP Council at the workshop in 2017 to consider changing the logo.

More than 10 000 people responded to the survey and used the opportunity to voice their opinion.  The majority of these indicated that they would prefer that the current logo not be changed. The results were discussed at the UP Council’s, the University’s highest decision making body, workshop on 17 September 2019. Based on the results, a decision was taken not to change the logo at this stage.
