Done studying for that exam and need to catch a ride home after hours? Then the University of Pretoria’s new Guardian Bus Service is just what you need.
The purpose of the service is to get students who study on campus after hours during the examination periods back to their accommodation in Hatfield and Sunnyside/Arcadia to which they would otherwise have walked.
The service will operate between Friday, 1 November and Sunday, 1 December 2019. It will run daily from 20:30 to 03:00, every 30 minutes. A detailed service schedule is below.
One bus will travel on a circular route to the west of the campus and another to the east of the campus. The service is free of charge.
The bus departure point is at the main gate at the Roper Street – Lynnwood Road intersection. There will also be a bus service from the Groenkloof Campus to Sunnyside after every examination session on that campus. For students studying on that campus after hours there will also be a service to Sunnyside departing at 21:00 and again at 22:00.
