Due to the high demand in travel-related services, including the need for coordinating workshops and conferences as a package deal, a decision was made to appoint four travel management companies (TMCs) through a tender process to service the University’s comprehensive travel requirements.
A rigorous tender process for travel management services was undertaken by the University and the final outcome of the tender evaluation and award has been finalised. The following four (4) TMCs have been approved as the preferred service providers for all travel-related requirements with travel lodge cards issued to them to facilitate the payment for services on behalf of the University:
1. Atlantis Corporate Travel
2. Club Corporate Travel
3. Travel with Flair
4. XL Glenwood Travel
Contracts and Service Level Agreements with all four service providers have been concluded (effective 1 September 2019) for the various services offered (see UP Intranet for fees charged by the various TMCs).
No other TMC will be considered for approval by the University.
