Passing away of Mr Colin Soden

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of a former colleague, Mr Colin Soden, from the Department of Facilities Management. He dedicated his service to the University of Pretoria for 25 years. He passed away on 14 July 2019 after a long illness.

Water supply interruption: Hillcrest Campus 19 July 2019

Buildings affected: TuksVillage, South Street Guard house, Daan Swiegers Clubhouse, Rugby Clubhouse, Athletics Clubhouse, Athletics Pavilion and Rugby Pavilion

Date and time: Friday, 19 July 2019, from 07:00 to 14:00

Duration: 7 hours

Please take note of a planned interruption of the water supply to the above-mentioned buildings.

The interruption is due to general maintenance on the main bulk water supply piping that supplies the above-mentioned buildings with water. The planned interruption is on Friday, 19 July 2019, from 07:00 to 14:00

Please fill available containers with water before the interruption to supplement drinking and washing water and use water sparingly in buildings equipped with water reservoir tanks.

Please do not leave taps turned on during the interruption as this may cause flooding and damage once the main water supply has been restored.

Power supply interruption: Mamelodi Campus 20 July 2019

Building affected: Administration Offices

Date: Saturday, 20 July 2019, from 08:00 to 13:00

Duration: 5 hours

Please take note of planned interruptions of the power supply in the building referred to above.

The interruption is due to maintenance and making good of the current medium voltage infrastructure and equipment. During this maintenance there will be no standby power available for the above-mentioned building. The interruption is planned for Saturday, 20 July 2019, from 08:00 to 13:00

We kindly request all persons to timeously switch off sensitive electronic equipment and to disconnect power leads from the wall outlets.
