The University of Pretoria’s four Day Houses (Luminous, Docendo, Vividus Ladies and Dregeana) support the Tekkie Tax fundraising initiative that will take place on 31 May 2019. Tekkie Tax is an international fundraising campaign that supports five sectors with various initiatives throughout the year. The sectors supported include Animals (various SPCA branches), Bring Hope (SAVF, Lifeline SA, Families SA), Children (various child welfare organisations, SOS Children’s Villages), Disability (Epilepsy SA, Down Syndrome SA) and Education (CANSA). Tekkie Tax has managed to raise R39.2 million over the past 6 years, and 1 800 local as well as national welfare organisations benefitted. Please visit: https://tekkietax.org/ for more information.

In order to be part of this amazing fundraising campaign that supports local – as well as national – non-profit welfare organisations, all you need to do is to purchase your R10 Tekkie Tax sticker from Coffee Buzz at the Piazza on the Hatfield Campus before 31 May 2019, and wear your sticker on that day!
