UP students, here’s an exciting opportunity to spend some time studying abroad, and be part of something big!

Seven Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) 'Hooded Scholarships' are currently on offer for University of Pretoria students to have the chance to spend a week in Australia, learn from AIME, the world's leader in mentoring, and then return to South Africa and have a chance to lead the programme within UP for a year.

The scholarship will train students in mentorship. The students who win them will receive direct training from a number of influential leaders from around the world. Once those students have been trained, they are required to return to South Africa, where they will then be delegated to certain communities and schools to pass on the training and knowledge they’ve gained abroad.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could change your world! As the visiting AIME crew says: "If it's not going to be you, then who? If it's not going to be now, then when?"

The details:

The total 1-year scholarship is valued at over R680,000 and includes, over the period February 2019 to February 2020:

- Return flights, accommodation and a ticket to the world's first Festival of Mentoring, to be held in Australia between 19 and 26 February 2019. (R272,000)

- AIME swag pack and start-up kit for the year (R68,000)

- Direct mentorship and coaching + world-class learning and development (R204,000)

- Licences to AIME systems, alumni network, tools, and access to AIME ongoing training (R136,000)

- The ability to lead, to have the excuse to change the face of the world through kindness and grit.
