It’s time to say a big WELCOME! to all new University of Pretoria (UP) first-year students – you are beginning one of the most memorable and significant journeys of your life! We know that the start of your time at university is exciting not only for you, but also for your parents, guardians and family.

Orientation Week is one of the most important events in the University's academic calendar – together with Welcome Day, these are the days on which we officially welcome you and your parents/ guardians into the UP family and community.

During the compulsory Orientation Week, which takes place from Monday 28 January to Friday 1 February 2019, you will learn more about services offered at the University aimed at helping you with your studies and well-being and making the transition to university life easier.
