As most of you will know by now, the University of Pretoria will soon be saying goodbye to Vice-Chancellor and Principal Prof Cheryl de la Rey. 

Prof De la Rey has been at the helm of the University since 2009 – nine years in which she has led our community in our collective efforts to enhance UP’s academic stature, improve its international rankings, and attain our transformation goals. 

Before Prof De la Rey departs to take up her new role as Vice-Chancellor of New Zealand’s University of Canterbury, we invite you to join us in wishing her farewell and good luck.
