Starting today, the Department of Library Services’ Makerspace and Microsoft is challenging you to showcase how you use Microsoft in the way you work.

To enter, all you have to do is make use of your free subscription, download and install Office 365 on your device, activate it, and give us a brief overview of how this helped you in your studies, research or everyday life.

Upload a snapshot of your activated product, as well as an overview (brief word review of approximately 300 characters or 60 second video) to your OneDrive and share the folder with [email protected] For an additional entry, share your activated product on social media.

Microsoft will also present some training sessions to stimulate your ideas, so check the Library website for more information.

How do I enter? 

There are two ways to create an eligible entry:

1. Create an original video that is 60 seconds or less, which depicts you 'Using Office 365 for your Studies' or submit a brief written application.

2. If you have social media, share your proof of your activated product as shown in the installation instructions found on www.office365.up.ac.za – very important: you need to be connected to the Tuks network. Use both of the following tags when posting on social media:

• #UPMakerSpace
• #Office365UP

What constitutes an eligible entry?

To be eligible for judging, an entry must meet the following content and technical requirements:

• You need to download and install Office 365 on your device and it needs to be activated and
• You need to have an original showcase of how you use and apply Office 365 to improve the way you learn or work.

How can I find out who won?

An event will be hosted on 12 April 2018 to select one of the most innovative showcases. The finalists will be contacted by email or on social media and shared on these platforms as well.
