On 5 March 2018, the Faculty of Theology and Religion opened for the 2018 academic year with a moving devotional and prayer service, held in the Musaion Hall on the Hatfield Campus of the University of Pretoria.

Hundreds of guests gathered for the occasion and spent time on fellowship, reflecting on the position of the Faculty as it transitions into another century of support for the African church.

During the service, the previous dean of the Faculty, Prof Johan Buitendag, symbolically handed over the mantel of leadership to Prof Jerry Pillay, who subsequently delivered the keynote address.  Please find a link to the address.
