Prof Stephanie Burton, Vice-Principal for Research and Postgraduate Education, cordially invites UP staff to a seminar entitled: 'Being an effective supervisor: Ensuring a win-win situation for both you and your students', to be presented by Prof Carmel McNaught.

Prof McNaught is a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg, and Emeritus Professor of Learning Enhancement and former Director of the Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research (CLEAR) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  Since the early 1970s, Prof McNaught has worked in higher education in Australasia, southern Africa and the UK in the fields of chemistry, science education, second-language learning, eLearning, and higher-education curriculum and policy matters.  She has served on the editorial boards of 18 international journals and is a prolific author with over 350 academic publications.
