UP Corporate Wellness Programme: Group Exercise Interventions

The University of Pretoria is proud to announce that our Corporate Wellness Programme in partnership with Bestmed Medical Scheme will continue in 2017. Our goal and commitment remain to improve the health and wellbeing of all employees through education and stimulating activities in support of positive lifestyle changes. The programme is open to all University employees who want to live a healthy life, whether you are a Bestmed member or not. This wellness initiative brings exercise right to your door.

The group exercise interventions are designed to get everyone up and going. Working in groups has proved to be more effective than individual sessions. Pilates enables you to get out, stretch your limbs and de-stress. The intervention will be led by an instructor, and an attendance register will be kept.

Join our Pilates classes from 20 February 2017 to 31 October 2017 on the various campuses as indicated below:

Groenkloof Campus

Mondays, 12:30 – 13:15, Room 1-46, Technika Building


Onderstepoort Campus

Mondays, 12:30 − 13:15, New Skills Lab, Lesedi Complex


Hatfield Campus

Thursdays, 12:30 − 13:15, Aula foyer


Prinshof Campus

Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 07:50, Room 3-68, HW Snyman South Building (Physiotherapy Gymnasium)

Monday to Thursday, 16:00 – 16:50, Room 3-68, HW Snyman South Building (Physiotherapy Gymnasium)

Monday and Thursday, 16:00 – 16:50, Room 3-44, Tswelopele Building (Student Gymnasium)

Wednesdays,07:00 – 07:50, Room 3-44, Tswelopele Building (Student Gymnasium)
