The University of Pretoria recently unveiled its new brand image to the public on radio, social media, online and in selected publications. The strategy aims to create awareness of the University, showcase our research output and our students' success, and position the University as a relevant, leading research-intensive university in South Africa.
The carefully selected and crafted content used to roll-out the strategy is promoted through various channels of which the curated website, 'Research Matters', serves as the central platform for showcasing the University's research output. Please visit the website at http://www.researchmatters.up.ac.za/ and also share it with your contacts. 'Research Matters' was developed to be lightweight, agile, responsive, and to contain marketable information. It also provides an opportunity to reach a wide range of stakeholders, including international audiences.
The website is supported by a comprehensive advertising, social media, online advertising and public relations campaign that will be rolled out over the next months. You can follow the campaign on the Staff Intranet by clicking on the Communications tab, and then on Integrated Marketing Communications or simply click here. The new visual language, image and branding of the University will be highlighted throughout the roll-out of the integrated campaign. The name of the site, 'Research Matters', was derived from our brand slogan 'Make today matter' and indicates that research is important, and that the research we do today will have an impact on the future.
The development and updating of the website is key to the success of the campaign. The Department of University Relations wishes to thank all the researchers and other stakeholders who have supported the project thus far and requests your continued collaboration when we approach you in the coming months to assist in compiling additional content.
We want to emphasise the fact that this communication and advertising strategy is not a strategy of the Department of University Relations (DUR) or certain faculties. It is 'n comprehensive, united strategy of the entire University of Pretoria.
We look forward to your continued input and support.
