Building affected: Curlitzia Residence
Date: Saturday, 11 June 2016 from 07:00 to 17:00
Duration: 9 hours
Please take note of a planned interruption of the power supply in the building referred to above.
The interruption is necessitated by emergency maintenance on the electrical equipment of the main substation that supplies the University buildings (North of Dr Savage drive), Steve Biko Hospital and Tshwane District Hospital with electricity. Note that the University is not responsible for the maintenance and depends on the Department of Public Works (Hospital) for power. The power interruption is planned for 11 June 2016 from 07:00 to 16:00 (9 hours)
A standby power generator will be provided, connected and disconnected to the residence's mini-substation during the abovementioned period. To connect the generator, two power interruptions will be required. The interruptions are planned for Saturday, 11 June 2016 from 07:00 to 08:30 and 16:00 to 17:00.
Note that the kitchen will not have standby power.
Please switch off sensitive electronic equipment timeously and disconnect power leads from wall outlets.
We apologise for any inconvenience you may experience.
