Help shape Tuks FM

Posted on March 07, 2016

Tuks FM has always been at the forefront of new music and looks to continue to do so in the future. The station conducts continuous research into its listenership and delivers content according to the lifestyles of its listeners. The main target audience, students of the University of Pretoria, remain the focus of the station’s offering. With its team of student volunteers, who all enter the station’s training programmes with little to no radio experience, the station broadcasts 24 hours a day and 366 days a year (in 2016, at least). It is incredible to think that every sound through the speaker on 107.2 FM is, or in some way involves a volunteer student.

Tuks FM is a station that targets the youth but welcomes all those that are young at heart and share its dynamic lifestyle. Everyone is encouraged to listen to, follow, like or watch Tuks FM. This approach has seen the station cement itself as South Africa’s Best Campus Station for four years running, along with being South Africa’s most awarded radio station overall.

Tuks FM will launch its latest research programme on 4 March 2016. The station will conduct research into the likes and lifestyles of its community. The project is called, ‘Tuks FM’s Biggest Fan’ and is a celebration of the diverse community that the station serves. #BiggestFan.

Tuks FM would like to invite all students at the University, along with all its listeners from anywhere on the planet, to participate in the study. This feedback will help shape the station into an offering that represents its direct community and the wants of its community at large. Like previous Tuks FM research initiatives, it will help to shape the station into a vehicle for lifestyle entertainment into the future.

The survey will be available on www.tuksfm.co.za from 4 March 2016.

Tuks FM is students. Tuks FM is young. Tuks FM is community. Tuks FM is YOU.

Here’s to another 35 years of youth, training, research, innovation, relevant conversations, awesome new music and awards.
