PAPER WASTE

Posted on February 18, 2016

CAMPUS: ALL CAMPUSES
BUILDINGS AFFECTED: All buildings

The University of Pretoria (UP) entered into a contract for the removal and recycling of waste paper. This is in support of the University’s initiatives regarding sustainability. It was decided to consolidate recycling into a single contract to facilitate access control to the University’s campuses. A consolidated approach is furthermore required to enable the University to report on the scope of its recycling activities, which is an essential element of integrated reporting.

Facilities Management is responsible for the removal of all waste (general and hazardous waste) from the University campuses. All buildings will be equipped with a sufficient number of paper recycling boxes and green bags.

All staff members are requested to support these initiatives.
