Maryna Enslin, a final-year BCom Tourism Management student from the Tourism Management Division, has been selected as one of three finalists from across African tertiary institutions to present an event bid in front of a jury of industry professionals at the IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum Africa in Sandton on Monday, 22 February.
This forum is one of six selected Future Leaders Forums around the world that make up the annual International University Challenge. The regional winners are invited to present their bid at the finals, held at IMEX in Frankfurt in 2016, and compete against the other universities for the grand prize sponsored by the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Foundation.
The Future Leaders Forum has been developed to encourage students to start a successful career in the meetings and events industry. The joint initiative by IMEX, MPI and MCI has taken place globally since 2003 with more than 7 000 students participating in the forums to date.
