Task Team on implementation of insourcing: Latest information

The Task Team on Insourcing wishes to report that, as per the agreement signed on 20 January 2016, the University management representatives and the Task Team responsible for implementation of the agreement had their third meeting on 10 February 2016.

The Task Team has ensured that the identification of contract staff who qualify for the salary top-up is nearing completion and that meetings with the service providers are progressing well. Reports of victimisation tabled at the previous meeting have been followed up and new complaints are receiving urgent attention.

Work that will be done towards the end of February includes ensuring access for identified contract staff to a UP medical clinic facility. The Task Team will meet again early in March.
