Prof Moritz van Vuuren, an Extraordinary Professor at the Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases in the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Veterinary Science, spoke to Hennie Maas of Radio Sonder Grense (RSG)’s ‘Op die veepos’ program, about the increase and incidence of diseases, especially among livestock, during the hot summer months. During the interview, Prof van Vuuren also discussed the impact of the current vaccine shortage in South Africa.
