During July and August 2015 the Department of Library Services ran a survey among our clients to identify their needs regarding the libraries’ operating hours. The results of the survey can be viewed here.

The new extended operating hours for October and November are as follows:

Merensky 2 Library

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 07:00 to 21:00

Fridays: 07:00 to 20:00

Saturdays (October and November): 8:30 to 17:00. From 13:00 the Research Commons and level 3 will remain open without any normal library services. The Study Collection will remain open until 17:00 with full services.

Sundays (October and November): 09:00 to 13:00. The Research Commons and level 3 will be open without any normal library services. The Study Collection will remain open with full services.

Medical Library

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 07:00 to 20:00

Fridays: 07:00 to 19:00

Saturdays (October to 8 November): 08:30 to 16:30

Sundays (October to 8 November): 11:00 to 15:00

Oliver R Tambo Law Library

Saturdays (October and November): 08:30 to 15:00

Groenkloof Postgraduate Research Commons

Saturdays (October and November): 8:30 to 17:00

Sundays (October and November): 9:00 to 13:00
