10:45 – 11:15: Research commercialisation by Mr John McKnight (Mr McKnight is a South African patent attorney and specialises in domestic and international patent matters, particularly in biotechnology and life sciences.)

11:15 – 11:45: From research to commercialisation by Prof Elsabe Kearsley (Prof Kearsley holds a PhD from the University of Leeds and is Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Pretoria.
