Jeremiah Nkwana rounded off the scoring for UP-Tuks when they beat the North-West University (NWU) Pukke 3–0 at the Tuks Stadium on 24 August 2015.
Tenacious midfielder Claudio De Almeida got off to a flying start as he latched onto a layoff from Tebogo Galane to calmly slot the ball into the net. UP-Tuks made their intentions clear in the early stages, taking a direct approach with no unnecessary passing.
NWU were content to keep possession as they struggled against the aerial dominance of UP-Tuks and the resilient defence that repelled any attack. Pukke also struggled to deal with the long throws that UP-Tuks threw into the box, which targeted the tall pair of Lawrence Ntswane and Nicholas Killas.
Mojalefa Magabe failed to deal with a cross from Lindsay Stowman and Tebogo Galane reacted the quickest to head the ball home and secure a score of 2–0 just before half-time. Jeremiah Nkwana added to his three free-kick goals by beating Magabe from the edge of the box.
The match turned into a physical one as UP-Tuks defended well and thwarted everything that Pukke threw at them. The win will stand the defending champions in good stead as they find themselves second on the log with one match to go before the knockout stages.
