I hereby wish to inform you that, as of Wednesday, 23 July 2015, our organisation, Higher Education South Africa (HESA), will be known as Universities South Africa. This name change is the result of engagements and agreement between the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors and is aimed primarily at establishing an identity in the public mind that reflects the precise scope of our interests and activities, specifically with regard to South African public universities.

Please be advised that our new name and corporate identity will not in any way affect the legal status of HESA or denote that our operations will in future be conducted by a different legal entity; the same entity will continue to operate under the same company registration number and our current operations and structures will be retained.

Please note that all correspondence should be mailed to the same address as previously, but should from now on be directed to Universities South Africa.
