EAT@UP student restaurant opens 18 August

Posted on July 29, 2015

Every year in the second semester the third-year Hospitality Management students plan for and operate the EAT@UP student restaurant as part of their culinary and management training.

We are excited to announce that the time has come for a new group of students to provide patrons with exceptional food and service. The restaurant will open on 18 August with a Greek theme.

We cordially invite and encourage all staff members to make use of the EAT@UP restaurant for group or private lunches. Every week, the restaurant will have a different cultural theme and set menu designed by the students. This allows them to learn new and interesting cuisines as well as allowing you, our patrons, to explore the cuisines of the world right here on the Hatfield Campus.

Every week's menu consists of one glass of juice, one glass of wine (red/white), a starter, a main course, dessert and filter coffee or tea, for R115 per person.

Lunch time is set for 12:30 every Tuesday and Thursday of the second semester. The EAT@UP restaurant is situated inside the Old Agricultural Building, next to the Sci-Enza and the Thuto Building.
